A Quite Superb Friend A Poem

When I think of him
I do have to smile.
There is so much warmth
That shines through
His written word.

As a pen pal
Or rather
A pal of email
As we do not do
The old fashioned
Mail of the snail.
I could not ask
For a more attentive one.
In that regard
He is quite superb!

Maybe it is
That he and I share
Cliches and sayings
Even though we live
So very far apart.
I tell him often
How I appreciate him
And his support.
You don't know
How much and often
I am in need of it!

So smiles and warmth
That seem to coincide
With a message
From my superb friend
I so look forward to them.
And hope they last
For quite a while
As I think what we have
Is something that to both
Of us is quite valuable
and worthwhile!
